Rest and changing the scenery is important for both well-being and creativity. Been manic is great, but is not sustainable. Sooner or later the machinery comes to a halt and the recovery period is longer than if one had gone slow and steady

I think sustainability is super important and burnout is a very real and very serious problem

I think 50% (80% in my case) of our mental fatigue comes from anxiety over decisions, or worrying about whether we’re doing things “right”. Being manic works for some people. For normal people, letting go of outcomes and living in the moment is probably a better strategy.

Can something be both "strictly better" and "too much?" Or are you just saying that permanent mania might be better than non-permanent mania? 100% all the time is a good gig if you can swing it.

Bet you would change your tune if you quit eating healthy
Sustained high output is surprisingly rare, and so are people who combine small smart habits and keep themselves happily entertained....probably not coincidence.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Humans need rest. It’s not surprising that people who don’t get it or feel like they need it are mentally ill.
