instead of moralizing/shaming yourself for your desire I think it’s generally good to be honest & figure out whether you can get what you want in a way that doesn’t burn your life down bc in the end you always reap the boundaries you sow

you should read the art of loving: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/14142.The_Art_of_Loving … it has a similar exploration, but focuses on love. i read it a few years ago (at just the right time in life), but it generally puts forward the idea that one must live in response to ones own need.
