just texted a friend about a chocolate bar and fb showed him an ad for it 10 minutes later so they’re clearly reading texts, anyone know how they’re doing that on ios?

I believe that some apps can scan your library whenever you open the library to upload a pic. So uploading the pic for your message might trigger it. That means FB's image recog/context algos are doing serious work if that's the case.
