a thing that perpetually fascinates me is a certain brand/marketing company in sf gives out free lunch but bc they have a limited (Non Tech) budget the lunch is literally just a salad but all their employees are skinny brand girls so they adore it. everyone wins

ingredients look fresh but pretty standard nothing too imaginative....sometimes they have a "seasonal" thing which all the girls treat as a huge deal but all it means is there is squash in the salad that day

am i hearing sweetgreen slander

the budget is low but they somehow always have Sweet Potatoes

sweet potatoes used to be the food for the poor (at least in taiwan) and are still cheap 30 yrs later, esp wholesale. like $1 for 4-6 pretty amazing that sweet potatoes can now be sold as an "upscale" foodpic.twitter.com/IHejV4SYlj
