It’s totally “ripe for disruption” except a startup could never make it through the many years it would take to get to market with an IUD... so we’re left with birth control delivery apps and stuff like Natural Cycles (https://www.theguardian.com/society/2018/jul/21/colossally-naive-backlash-birth-control-app …) = extremely not reassuring

the paraguard has p bad side effects in the form of heavy cramping/bleeding. That’s not the case for frameless IUDs like the Gynefix or ones with flexible frames like Veracept... both of which are not FDA-approved (yet) in the US
