honestly idc if you warn your readers that your book is dark you should always include a trigger warning and name said triggers even though it might be spoilers but there are many people out there (myself included) who are not interested in reading about child abuse +

Idk how TWs aren't a normal thing yet?!? Publishers say its so they dont scare off readers but shit i like them so i know if a "pretty dark" book is actually as dark as I like. Its a win for everyone & blows my mind that its still the readers responsibility to get the word out!

Michelle Hodgkin put a trigger page in Noah Shaw. And it wasn’t as graphic as this book sounds.
