USF consultant says new on-campus football stadium could be done for $120 million, but fans were very clear they didn't want a "high school stadium" like UCF's. So let me get this straight. The report says with the stadium they gain up to 50% more attendance, plus the revenue from parking, concessions, and the cost savings from not renting the stadium. The cost of funds goes up and the real revenue that is not realized is wasted.
Yet they don’t want to build a stadium like ours that seats more and is being upgraded while we build season sales and upgrade the facilities around it? Sounds to me like the new AD knew he couldn’t raise the funds for 120 let alone 40 million and you or they used that phrase
Smaller capacity = less supply = charging more for tix.
So if USF pays $400,000 to rent Ray Jay each game yet doesn't get to collect on most typical stadium-related revenues such as concessions, parking and sponsorship opportunities, who does collect? Please tell me that Taxpayers who paid for Ray Jay do!
