you should test that hypothesis, you probably can't beat Waze.
I wish either Uber or Lyft would let you plot an exact route you want. I’m better at predicting and avoiding traffic between my house and work than their mapping software.

Where I live there are a few key turns/orientations that no mapping system seems to get right so I always have to prompt the driver. If I get distracted and don't I end up late >.<

Why not take advantage of the fact that Uber still has actual humans drivers (for now) and just tell them what route you want them to take? It's like taking a cab. Old school. I'm sure there's some term I'm supposed to use here like
#humanhacking or#chatgamification, but
