It was refreshing how they just owned the problem, found a solution and expressed “the run around people are giving you is ridiculous.” Even though I burned a bunch of time dealing with USPS today I came away feeling really positive toward them because of this supervisor.

Great meta point here about the value of leaders intervening to help customers and showing they really care. Both for the benefit of the customer and for the education of their team.

Getting validation that something is wrong is so much of the value here. Too often leaders in that situation basically gaslight you by trying to make it seem like things aren’t incredibly messed up.
