our bureaucrats @BAG_OFSP_UFSP just reversed course 3/4 months too late proving, unfortunately, points made in Ur piece. Better late than never?
Missing the risk of infections and health problems induced by wearing a mask too much — Such as reduced oxygen levels, induced higher workload for heart and lungs. Lower focus, higher stress values. Masks are important and help reduce infections, but they should not be a norm.
Does this advice apply to every flu season and virus that might potentially kill someone somewhere at sometime? How should we discriminate, if we should?
Honestly, why wouldn’t you use a mask during flu season? It’s cheap, and who wants the flu? Here’s how to discriminate: if the cost of the mask is greater than the cost of the illness, don’t wear it. (Cost includes inconvenience, discomfort, etc)
Excellent article as usual. My only comment would be that it might be even more impactful if it was more readable. The mathematical concept you use might be a bit difficult to grasp for non mathematical educated minds.
I almost agree with you but if they didn’t understand it! Then mostly likely they’re not bothered enough to want to understand it.
I could agree if we wore masks when more aggressive viruses in the past were combated with masks. Also masks reduce the probability of healthy immunization which history proved to be effective. Otherwise we would be extinct for ages already.
The issue is mainly the human reaction this year to the virus. Bureaucrats decided to artificially lower the immunization rate. I wished the government would have allowed me to decide for myself.
