I thought Richard Branson was RICH - or at least so he always keeps getting presented on magazine covers, they present him as if he is supposed to be real smart, too - why can't he bail out his own company? ^^

Sorry, but having been in the industry for a few decades, who do you think gets hurt in bankruptcies? CEO's, Senior Management, end up alright. Law firms, accounting firms etc get business, while employees end up with paycuts or laid off. Been witnessing the process for too long

This is so true maestro, we pay the price for mistakes made for them. In this case almost fatal to civilization.

And here in India, they are easing burden of EMIs for loans , being unfair to those who did not take a loan fearing these kind of situations .
