::mild irritation out of the blue:: I will never get why people are so afraid of 2nd person. It's unusual, sure. Takes some getting used to -- so get used to it! Go read some other 2nd person books! Try writing it! Explore the unknown; are you an SFF reader or aren't you?

I think it can be really great. For example, Jenkins used it in Sentry as a way to emphasize Bob's disassociation from himself.

Second person is hard, but fun! It's immersive in a way you can't find in first or third person.

I think it's not as jarring as most make it out to be, or at least for myself, I suppose. I read a book fairly recently written in it and after about 20-30 pages you're settled in just fine. After that. . .it's quite easy and nice.

It’s always easy to spot who didn’t grow up reading Choose Your Own Adventure books.

I did more 2nd person perspective via Choose Your Own Adventure than in my entire life since. Not because I avoid it, I just encounter it rarely.
