Dubbed “One Fund to Rule Them All,” it will own shares of every business on earth. Dividends and interest will be distributed equally to each of America’s one billion citizens as the administration makes good on its promise to guarantee a source of perpetual income for all.

In 2040, Vanguard is launching the Vanguard Whole Market Fund. The U.S. sovereign wealth fund, created during President Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s first term as a vehicle for investing surplus revenue from the national land value tax, will be the sole investor.

Reducing the supply of new autos by 1.7 million is a great outcome, but it’s tragic that it’s the result of a lethal pandemic instead of an intentional policy choice. This is why YIMBYism is a better model for environmentalists than Slow Growth - YIMBYism is also pro-human!

The only model with the scope and scale to address California's housing shortage is the YIMBY model. What's the YIMBY model? Read about it here!

Homes like ours should be naturally affordable, but policies designed to keep homes scarce are making all homes less affordable. Any piece of legislation that purports to address the housing crisis must end institutionalized housing scarcity - anything less in pushing on string.

When scholars talk about "reverse filtering," they're talking about the home my wife and I live in. The 825 sqft condo my wife and I bought used to be occupied by a family of four - now it's occupied by a physician and a financial services professional.

The reason why California doesn’t have enough homes for everyone who wants to live here is simple: NIMBYs have more political power than any other faction and they don’t want there to be enough homes for everyone who wants to live here. That’s it! That’s all there is to it.

It will never make sense to me that , who pulls no punches when it comes to describing the true causes of California’s high housing costs, consistently argues w/out evidence that NIMBY legislators care what social justice orgs think.

One of the reasons YIMBYs are here is to give heart to people who've been beaten into complacence by NIMBYs. 4.5 years ago, ADU's were a "political third rail." Now they're legal in every backyard. What else can we accomplish when we fight NIMBYism?

This is really good and gives deserved credit to for sparking a national conversation and for digging deep at the state and local level. NHJ at a CT event last week: "You can integrate schools overnight with policy. You can’t do that with housing.”

The YIMBY Model - universal accessibility to housing in California - is fundamentally incompatible with exclusionary zoning. Period.

Policies that preserve parking minimums, setbacks, or focus growth on commercial corridors are incompatible with allowing the state to grow fast enough to accommodate another 40 million people (with room to grow from there).

If California were allowed to grow as fast as Idaho is expected to grow this year, our population would hit 80 million within 17 years.

The reason YIMBYs are focused on ending exclusionary zoning is that our goal is to make California accessible to all. Not some, not a few more than otherwise. All.

Tonight, Jerry Hill had to answer to angry young Democratic constituents demanding housing action this year. A sight to behold.

Come tonight to advocate for more housing near transit; just because may have stalled doesn’t mean we don’t have work to do locally!
