It's kind of what it advertizes. Map painting strategy game from the point of european expansion. The way it handles colonization is fairly wack and you can tell content development is very unbalanced, but it is a game, not an encyclopedia.

Yes that's the trap to be resisted, I felt perhaps someone had written something about a world-creating software that 2 million people (!) have purchased as of this year. Seems the kind of number where a review might emerge.

There was an outbreak of EU IV at the European University Institute between 2014-2017. Across departments. One Historian I know was able to conquer almost the entire planet with Florence. Another created an Aztec empire in Europe. This is really infectious, relentless material.
