just read the words "incel stan"pic.twitter.com/bN1xvHwx7O
Of course nothing is ever so transparent, but I'm faced with the fact that 100km from where I live, less than 20km from where I got off a plane, a man identified as part of the incel community drove a van through a crowded intersection that I have traversed, killing 10 people

A man who by all reported accounts had a lot of problems from social anxiety to severe tics. A man who likely was not mentally well and undoubtedly, due to Canada's appalling lack of a good mental health support system, could not receive any substantial help.
-
I'm faced with how to move on and prevent such an incident from happening again and it would be incredibly naive and dangerous to not acknowledge the role mental health played in this event and must play in prevention strategies.

I get that people suffering from mental health issues are worried about he stigma of association, but this isn't about shaming anyone. It's about helping people.
