Does any rclone user have a windows arm64 machine they could test `rclone mount` on? You'll need the latest WinFSP.

rclone has saved the day again. Waaaaay easier to copy files and directories in and out of Google Drive using rclone than web UI or even using desktop sync.

In restic 0.13.0, we've changed how restic calls rclone and ssh on Windows. That caused a bug, which we have now fixed. If you use restic on Windows with the rclone/sftp backend, please test and report back! Background information:

Got COVID, bah 🤒 I'm not too ill thankfully but I had to stay behind when the kids went skiing 😢 Brain full of fog. Felt well enough to play in the garden for a few hours this afternoon before needing to go back to bed. What was I doing? Guesses in comments!

Anyway, you know what to do - send a link to Filippo's article to your boss and persuade them that rclone needs sponsorship for the good of your business. Thank you!

You might be wondering how much sponsorship I'm getting for a project which is downloaded millions of times a month? The answer is about $600 / month. That's nice money but nowhere near enough to live on in the UK. I'm making ends meet by doing consultancy.

What I don't want to do is spend ages negotiating for this, that and the other with each sponsorship. I already gave you rclone and its ongoing maintenance already - that should be enough. GitHub sponsors is low effort for me, and they provide a proper invoice trail for you.

Ideally I'd like your company to hit me up on Github sponsors and commit to $100 per month, maybe more if rclone is a really crucial part of your business or bringing in lots of revenue I'll tweet about sponsors and stick you on the website if you want

A spot on article by Filippo about funding Open Source I know lots of businesses use rclone as a mission critical component but almost none of them sponsor rclone to a significant degree. I'd like to make a full time job of this but I need your organization's support.

Happy ! As part of my π obsession I wrote a series of articles about calculating π from easy to state of the art: One day I'd like to add an article on the AGM method and another about how fast can we multiply. Encouragements in comments please!

I am releasing today the new version of HUBFS, the "File System for GitHub". The most important change is that repositories are now read-write and allow files to be edited and builds to be performed inside the file system.

Very nice explainer of exactly how multipart uploads work with s3. Rclone works exactly like this, uploading the parts in parallel. Azure blob and b2 are very similar.

Please note that project locations for WinFsp, SSHFS-Win and NFS-Win have changed: - WinFsp: - SSHFS-Win: - NFS-Win: Existing links to the projects will continue working; GH redirects to the new locations.

And now for something (completely?) different. The Arduino 6502 controller controls a 6502 CPU via an Arduino. It generates a clock signal and simulates an address and data bus with attached memory and peripherals.

If you need to move a lot of data out of a cloud storage provider who just changed pricing over to the many other options (including your own local storage), then rclone is your friend. Parallel, Pipelined, Restartable, and error checking.
