    True story : Our help got children admitted to a convent, putting together all her savings. The children might have to drop out now coz no wifi and laptops at home and household income drastically reduced to buy smartphones. No way that "edtechs" are democratizing education.

    An impt, humbling reminder that the wave is still mostly for the privileged. making educational inequalities much worse. Low income kids => higher dropouts Avg school => slow to adapt to online => kids falling behind 1-2 yrs Special needs kids => hurt badly
