You need direct usbc power to the cartridge.

Thanks for the news but
when you're speaking about the "New Msx3" and you show to all Msx community a single board without slots to introduce cartridges, without a beautiful box and without a keyboard, just I see yet another "FPGA's implementation style".

I know it's not "strictly Msx" but what's happen with VDP V9990, and with OPL4 music implementation?
The new "Msx3" will include an ethernet card (Denyonet, Obsonet, GR8NET, BaDCat Wi-Fi) to connect it to the internet and to the BBS's?

I have never selected VDP9990 as a MSX spec. New video still no name will be a lot faster and strong sprites and 2K,4K support. msx engine 3 has ethernet logic but not the trans for net due to space saving. msx3 iot cartridge has wifi and bt by already popular ESP32.

V9990 never has been a MSX spec.
MSX1,2 specs needs 2 slots minimum.
I love to listen to any opinion.
I want to bring 1 internet,2 IOT,3 64bitCPU to new MSX.
I belive almost all software will be downloaded in the near future. but still need to support ROM.

There are quite a few developers who have done some really cool things with V9990 and OPL4 (you can search the internet if you don't know what I'm talking about).
Do you now the V9990 Msx games "Ghost n Goblins" and "Metal Dragon"?

We have also created different hardware interfaces in Msx cartridge, thanks to this we can handle data in modern storage devices, connect our machines to the internet by ethernet and much more.

You need the full support of the Msx community for your new Msx3 machine to be successful.
Mr. Nishi, creator of the Msx system, not taking into account all this effort and hard work mentioned before, I find it disrespectful.

the way you are thretening me using the word "MSX community" is disrespectful, too.

If your community is committed to 9990 video, That is not MSX and even threatening me to protect your vested interested of 9990 games, I am crystal clear that we are not going to support that chip. You should search the history how 9990 was born and rejected.
Yamaha fail to deliver 9978(later 9990) in time for MSX3. That was the reason name changed to Turbo R. We had only fast CPU. Then Pana used delayed Video chip without our consent saying extra fanctions will be machine depanding non MSX functions.

then by the side, yamaha gave the knowhows of video chip to nintendo and created super famicom without telling us anything. Was that a fair business practices? We dont think so. So we decided not to use 9990 for ever.

There is a song from Queen saying “too much love will kill you”… there are many positive ways to understand how a 80s computer concept should evolve. The passion MSX fans live their hobby is for sure something to be proud of and I think we are grateful to you because of this.

Nuestro juega usa el 9938, no uso el 9990, pero muchos usuarios si.
La norma tenia sus reglas, como puertos de impresora, 1 ranura de cartucho... ¿Ahora abandonamos el ADN como esas ranuras?

I want to read about that story. Is there any URL you could share?
Después de 28 años con el v9990 en nuestras máquinas será imposible dejarlo de utilizar, quizás se pueda mantener como periférico como hasta ahora y seguir disfrutándolo.
