the point of their popularity is there's no standard recipe. the blooming variance of Filipino dishes is characteristic of the varied culture we produce. "standardizing" misses the point. the beauty of Filipino culture is in multiplicity yet capacity to unite against colonizers.

btw, i read the article. that last paragraph does not change my mind. it is a failure to consider that even Filipinos do not FUNDAMENTALLY AGREE on the main components of adobo. is adobong puti adobo? are we going to let a committee decide on that? in the middle of a PANDEMIC?
