    When someone accepts another's help, it may not always mean that they can't do it by themselves. It may mean that they like the idea of someone being there for them & enjoy the thought of someone wanting to take care of them; takes a sensitive & empathetic soul to realize this

    What a scary yet fascinating story.

    I'm emerging from a Twitter-break to share an unbelievable story. In mid-September, 1987 a Brazilian found a capsule that glowed blue among the contents of the scrapyard that he owned. With a friend, he pried it open with a screwdriver and found glowing blue rice-like grains.

    Humanity as a whole has been deprived of or is gradually losing its reserve of patience, reliability, loyalty, compassion, commitment, trustworthiness, authenticity, simplicity and contentment. Having said that, I'll go back to preparing my quarterly metrics report.

    In developed countries, the poisonous cocktail is made of growing racism, violence, rampant consumerism, clueless millennials and power-hungry autocrats creeping out of everywhere. And it is claiming their erstwhile independence, safety and comfort which they were proud of.

    In developing countries countries, a poisonous cocktail of corruption, greed, cruelty, indifference, stupidity and mindless growth is consuming Mother Nature and everything good about the culture and social fabric that - so far - clothed our dignity.

    I am beginning to think that the world has transformed into an ugly monster and there's no going back. I believe this is a realistic view and not a pessimistic one. The world seems to have very few people pockets that run based on values, ethics and compassion.
