I narrated a slide show at my college student union about the bombing day after day. I still remember the names of the types of bombs that were used. It was horrific.

The most tragic here is that eventually North Vietnam won the war but that didn't have any kind of negative impact on Americans daily life, the whole war was pointless from an American perspective

I disagree: it is almost impossible to exaggerate how disastrous the Vietnam War was for American civic life. Indeed, much of the current heinous polarization we’re currently experiencing is inexplicable without an understanding of the divisions that the Vietnam War opened up.
