Do U know fact & source checks didn’t happen? Don’t U think it’s suspicious a PD from LA is so interested in SF’s DA, & posts 20 tweets disparaging Jenkins. It smacks of desperate measures to support @chesaboudin! We need to hear from @hknightsf & her thoughts on these 20 tweets!

Yes, we do know because the thread includes facts from the public record that
@hknightsf and the@sfchronicle chose to ignore.1 reply 0 retweets 7 likes -

And why does it matter where he's from (he practiced in NY, btw)? Facts are facts, no matter where they're from, and
@ScottHech posts them frequently about matters all over the country,1 reply 0 retweets 4 likes -

All good points—clearly someone with an axe to grind. Even w/o knowing Scott’s context/background, when I see something sourced so one sidedly, & narrowly, it’s always a major red flag the source may have an axe to grind—Journalism 101 stuff.

Fair point. Always important to have the source material where possible. Wasn’t hard to find, though.

I try not to promote propaganda/reward clickbait. So I screenshot it. Anyone could find it if they wanted to.

Citing propaganda and ripping it apart to prove its true colors and those of its author and editors is not rewarding/promoting it.

You know how human psych works tho. And people read headlines and not the content ALL the time. It removes that risk from the situation.

If someone took the time to read the thread, which was very long, I don't think they're the type of people who are going to be only reading headlines.

You have a fair point about the type of person that makes it to the end of a longer thread, tho. Still, if it’s good practice, you follow it with few exceptions.
