What you describe sounds a lot like a pseudo-mind-map. Also I wonder if the pro/con distinction is inherent in the design process or might create needless antagonism we could avoid with a different setup?

I am concerned that the promise of "never" breaking the language (and libstd) helps make these discussions contentious, because people are worried we'd be stuck with whatever decisions we make forever
