@nikomatsakis I still don't get what a region is. I thought before NLL it was a contiguous section of the source code, but now I'm reading https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Region-based_memory_management … and it apparently originally meant a section of the program's memory?

This is originally why we changed to the word lifetime in Rust, to emphasize the difference. I should probably find a better name for Polonius. I've come to think of it as being sort of "whatever the author wants it to mean" but maybe I'm the only one to do so. =)
