    So my PhD student tells me about her fieldsite, which I can't visit owing to Covid-19. But I link some VR goggles to Google maps and have a look around the area, much to her surprise. `Cause that's how we PhD supervisors roll.

  13. Terrifying but important. I remember when there was a law that prohibited “advocating homosexuality” in schools and I couldn’t even *exist* as a queer teacher. I was afraid and repressed. Many of us remember being without the rights we have now and it’s devastating to consider.
