To educators posting about books they're using w/ students (esp if images are involved, student art etc): if you can, DO tag the author, illustrator & publisher. We want to know! I try to respond every time. Connecting w/young readers is my happy place.📚❤️

Another workshop with the Hamilton Children's Choir last night. Esprimas choristers did an amazing job of reading The Pirate's Bed. I had so much fun I didn't want to stop!

Best part of being a kids writer is getting to meet the kids! At the end of March, I'll be virtual live at Grimsby Public Library! Would you like me to visit your school or library?

I had the most fun time last night with the Hamilton Children's Choir being parrots, pirates and dolphins as a soundscape for The Pirate's Bed (virtually!). What great kids! Thanks for having me visit. Can't wait for their spring concert.

Racism doesn't exist only as overt acts of hate, it manifests under the surface as a lifetime of accepting your own erasure as the default and fighting against it. Grateful to have been given opportunities to share my work, glad people might be starting to listen.
