    Let me be the millionth person to recommend Ted Lasso. Came in deeply skeptical, but it proved me wrong every step of the way. In a year filled with so much tumult and sadness, it really was a balm.

    Why do recipes INSIST on putting the ingredient amount and the preparation in separate places? It makes no sense. I am scrolling back-and-forth the entire time. TELL ME HOW MUCH SUGAR

    I'll add a tiny ray of hope. When I was an intern, I worked for an editor who gave me the best, most careful feedback. Years later, he hired me as an associate editor and vastly improved my writing, and years after, at a DIFFERENT gig he helped me navigate a tricky workplace.
