I'm really enjoying videos at the moment. I'm a complete newbie to coding so it's much easier for me to grasp the concepts when someone is explaining them and then demonstrating how they are applied.

I definitely get that! It helps to watch and make sure you don't miss anything!

You could buy online ebooks. There are plenty great ebooks on almost every language or framework you want to learn about
-
Very true! And no need to visit the bookstore!

I like videos because I can hear what they’re going to do, then pause the video and take a guess at how it’s done. I think both are very important, tho!

So not just visual but auditory learning
It think it's great you try to guess before moving along! Something I should try!

Videos for now since many if not most are free and also i dont have to carry them around like books if I choose to hang out at a cafe or something!
-
That being said I think books can be very thorough resources on one topic - if I were learning a new piece of tech that needed an in-depth knowledge, id do a couple beginner videos and then dive into a book

I think a mix of both are the best option for deepen the knowledge.

I love both, but there is nothing like a good book to highlight, dog ear, etc. I feel I retain the knowledge better. Also, forces you to type instead of copy paste!!!

Čini se da učitavanje traje već neko vrijeme.

I love coding, hot springs, and sewing!

English/Japanese bilingual
I learn a lot from both but feel like books tend to go deeper
It can be difficult to find tech books in English in Tokyo, though
Of course, nothing beats actual coding!
