        Stupid person here... Wouldn't it be better to plough all funds into this as priority over a vaccine? Quick mass testing is needed as more of a priority.

        A computer looks at microscope images of samples and can identify the viruses in the images. It knows what the viruses look like because it's been shown pictures of the viruses before. That's the basic idea.
