Friends, please. If the privacy stuff doesn't scare you off (see screenshots. They're worse than Facebook) or if their anti-poor and ableist policies don't turn you off (see:https://theintercept.com/2020/03/16/tiktok-app-moderators-users-discrimination …) please at least reconsider tiktok as a platform because of this

Tiktok's actively deleting videos that speak about the injustice experienced by black folks bec of white supremacy. If you don't give two shits about the privacy issues (like some folks have QTd), at least delete the app in solidarity w/

another thing: when i read tiktok’s terms and conditions back in june 2019, there was a bit that basically said the app could turn on your phone’s camera and microphone whenever it wanted to. don’t know if that’s still in there but that was what made me rethink getting it
