    Important update from our VP and 2021 Chair of , Monique Meche, on the priorities for Twitter’s term as chair and the areas of focus for the remainder of the year.

    I’m looking forward to previewing ’s 2021 goals and kick-off our Global Summit. We’re focused on this work and committed to making meaningful progress with a global group of partners on countering terrorist and violent extremist content.

    The privatisation of offensive capabilities is a clear threat to international cybersecurity and is being used to target heads of state. But apparently doesn't warrant a mention in a speech on international cyber threats. 🤷‍♂️

    For this speech to not even infer mention of NSO group and Pegasus is just baffling. There’s an entire section on international threats that would seem pretty relevant.

    Three months, as it turned out.

    Strongly suspect in six months time we will wish more time was spent discussing how to track and manage vaccine status data, and less on general vaccine passport outrage. Instead it’ll be an 11th hour “technology will solve this” money bonfire for consultancies that won’t work.
