@thegrugq anything I get wrong on this list of Tor weaknesses? http://blog.erratasec.com/2013/08/anonymity-smackdown-nsa-vs-tor.html …

@nickm_tor What size keys does it use for the ECDH? I'm assuming 512 bit? How about the older DH? -
@ErrataRob P256 for TLS; curve25519 for circuit extension. Older DH was 1024-bit Z_p. -
@nickm_tor@ErrataRob "Tor still uses small keys (1024-bit DH, 256-bit ECDH)": that's a hughe difference 1024DH has 80 bits, 256ECDH has 128 -
@hyperelliptic@nickm_tor I've edited that many times. People say NSA can crack 1024DH, but only 160ECDH -
@ErrataRob I'd listen to@hyperelliptic concerning ECC. I don't know cryptographers who think 256ECDH is bad (assuming no quantum computing) -
@nickm_tor@hyperelliptic 256ECDH is good AFIAK, I use it in my code, I was just in the middle of doing edits if I implied it was bad
