@mjtsai For what it’s worth, we’ve had EMV cards in Canada for years and they’re not bad. Not as quick as tapping, but not arduous.

@mjtsai Not sure if there’s a different/less refined implementation in the US, though. Perhaps it’s just a rollout thing?

@nickheer I don’t know. I kept reading about how well it worked in Europe and Canada but was horrified when I actually tried it here. -
@mjtsai The workflow here is card goes in the bottom, OK to confirm amount, PIN, and it’s done. On a high-speed connection, it’s fast. -

@mjtsai Yep. I get an error maybe one time in every thirty-forty transactions. -
@nickheer Well, that gives me hope that it can get a lot better. I’m getting errors about 1 in 3 or 4. -
@mjtsai That sucks. Sounds like a crappier implementation. Is it typically a chip read error or a transaction failure? -
@nickheer I think it's a read error. Sometimes they have me reinsert the card. Or swipe and then insert. Happens for multiple cards.
