Existing laws says you cannot ship personal data of EU citizens to the US. US companies don't like that, so they go lobbying. Let's crowdfund massive enforcement now, and kick the American companies out of Europe.

Europe is a vassal state of the United States. The EU has been working for years to water down the GDPR to favor American companies while pretending to care about the privacy of its citizens. I guess they finally succeeded.
