We are looking for volunteers to participate in an EEG study exploring the neural responses to pressure pain and pain empathy. The study will take place at the University of Liverpool and will last between 2-3 hours. You will be reimbursed for your time.

Jess found that data fusion between EEG and high-resolution touch data from a pressure sensor was essential to disentangle nuanced differences in brain alpha and beta oscillations between different textures. Differences were present in electrodes over sensorimotor areas. 2/3

Great work from my student in . Systematic review shows encouraging data for performance of #MachineLearning and EEG for pain research, but improved standardization and quality assurance is required to support future clinical translation.

Tyler found encouraging data for performance of ML classification of pain outcomes, but heterogeneous reporting and risk of bias limits the potential for clinical translation. Improved standardization across the field and specialised tools for quality assurance are needed. 2/3
