AI art is its own thing. It's a snapshot of human visual history. It had no consciousness behind it but it's trained by human and curated by human. It's one big "brain" collecivelly created by humans. It's not about self expression or communication of one person but all of us.

If you play around with it long enough, you will find Midjourney has a particular style that looks astonishing today but will soon be considered "boring" in the future. Humans get bored easily and we always find a way to be creative.
