    The idea that you shouldn't talk politics is wrong. If you family has shitty politics don't show up. You are not obligated to spend time with horrible people. If they are upset, cite that they voted for a piece of shit and you can't support that.

    Just a reminder that the pressure you feel to have a “good” holiday is manufactured. There are many of us without much or any family, estranged, struggling financially, etc. You don’t need to buy things to express love. Surround yourself with love- give it.

    It's nearly impossible to afford college at a state school—let alone a private university or law school—on a janitor's paycheck these days. BECAUSE OF GOP POLICIES. You took the bridge to prosperity; and then you burned it after you crossed.
