We (me & @johnbiggs) had a great discussion on HourTime this week on how we choose to spend our time on this planet. I'm not sure "TikTok for Text" is on that list. On the list: hiking and looking at cool plants I've never seen before. theverge.com/2023/1/31/2357
"If the agency applies the legal reasoning it used in this case more broadly, and if the courts go along, Americans could gain more privacy over the data collected by health-related apps and websites than they’ve ever had before." #goodrx

. and the CFPB are on a mission to put money back in Americans' pockets that banks, credit card companies, and other financial services providers should never have gotten their hands on in the first place. We're here for it.

Today, the CFPB proposed a rule to curb excessive credit card late fees that cost American families about $12 billion each year. Learn more about the proposed rule and how you can submit feedback. consumerfinance.gov/about-us/newsr
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has proposed a new rule to rein in excessive credit card late fees. The proposed rule would: Reduce late fees to $8 for most cases, End the automatic annual inflation adjustments for those late fees, Cap late fee amounts at 25% of the minimum payment. In 2020, credit card companies charged customers about $12 billion in late fees. If finalized as proposed, the rule could reduce late fees by as much as $9 billion a year. Are sports apps the worst offenders when it comes to notification spam? I know today is "transfer deadline day" and all but I don't need my phone blown up every time a player's agent sneezes. The result? I simply disable the app's notifications altogether. We have to fight back!
Revert to the Florida Marlins and bring back the "F" logo. Thank you. "It's something I always dreamed of from when I was a kid. I always wanted to be on the cover of a video game, but I never thought it would become a reality as quick as it has."
No knock against Code Mystics but I'm tired of acting like a poor emulation of a nearly 30 year old game warrants the level of secrecy of a National Security Letter. Why is it that I can fire up 1964 and play at 60 fps with proper frame pacing but can't on Series X?

I really dislike all the secrecy and weirdness surrounding this game. The licensing is a mess - we hear that often - but that mess is no doubt driven by greed. I’m sure they’d have to loved to do more but clearly someone didn’t want that. twitter.com/CodeMystics/st…

So, I've only played the first three levels (Series X) but I feel like the frame pacing is off? I hope takes a look at both Xbox and Switch ports (are they ports? emulation? would love to know!) for a future version of DF Retro!
