I am always incredulous when guys I know say they've never heard of incels. I barely understand Reddit, and I've come across them. But then I realize that a lot of the reporting was from freaked women going "wtf is this", and so the guys probably wouldn't have seen it.

Honestly the thing that pisses me off the most is how your sexual gratification is somehow more important than my choice/consent?
-
It's prom time and there's still very much an over-arching mentality of "Hey, did you score with [girl's name]?" Like it's just an automatically assumed thing. The girl isn't even a second thought, she's an afterthought.
-
I remember my little cousin coming to me like a confessor his first year of college going "I've never kissed a girl" and I had to reassure him so much.
-
Yeah there's definitely pressure on guys to have sex as a sort of rite of passage, like wern said. it's just automatically assumed that that's a thing You Must Do to achieve proper manhood or some such BS.

You are not owed anything from me, from any woman, or any person.
-
I mean, that's not even just an incel thing, but exactly.
-
It's not, but it's the kind of thinking that allows these kinds of insidious groups to persist.
