No. It means chosen to live by the Torah and spread it's basic values to all of humanity. We've done a pretty good job right? The Ten commandments are the basis of Western law and morality.
So while estranged my father's family are formerly Jewish, and it leads me to wonder... what does it mean to be one of the Chosen People? Genetic superiority? The right to colonize land, graced by God to His followers? Why the Covenant of Circumcision? Emasculating men, why?

Humanity as a whole has come this far. The Code of Hammurabi is the basis of western law and morality. The Ten Commandments are fictional, they never actually existed. Most Abrahamic dogma appears to have been appropriated from other cultures/mythology. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Code_of_Hammurabi …

I didn't answer you to debate my faith. I answered you because I thought you were seeking an answer as to what Chosen People means to Jews. Keep your potted anthropology to yourself.

Yes, you answered to debate your faith. To justify your faith. And you don't have a logical answer, because the Code of Hammurabi is real and the Ten Commandments isn't. Your faith is based on science fiction, and it harms believers and non-believers alike.
