ubuntus future is looking very GNOMISH desktop.. think I'll pass on that one lol

It's not as nice as Unity, but Ubuntu has made some major comfort improvements to GNOME and Dash to Dock!

I used the old gnome GUI didn't allow for desktop I used it but was a pain in the ass UNITY is better, if it works dont fix it

Technical debt is real and costly. For the classic experience I recommend Ubuntu MATE. It can emulate Unity, too-global menus, HUD, and all!

I was looking at MATE, I think I might try it on my new file server.. see how it runs
