    He was my friend. I never heard him complain when he was unwell, he just expressed appreciation toward everyone who came to spend time with him. His radiant good cheer in the face of deadly cancer made it impossible to ever feel sorry for myself again about anything.

    Critically in the British Government agency report () they state ‘Evidence uncovered by the Commission shows Mr Gaffney had knowledge of instances and allegations of improper acts and sexual and physical abuse against students at the charity.’
