.@realDonaldTrump approach on drug prices builds on already impressive progress in generic approvals ($9 billion in savings) and Medicare reforms ($300 plus million saved in out of pocket costs in 2018). Absolutely right that PBM and insurer discounts be passed on to patients!

This is not an “America First” policy. We pay more than 2x other developed countries on average. These drugs are produced in the same factories with exact same quality requirements. We are subsidizing both the drug companies and Canada, Germany, France, England, Japan, etc.
