Centers for Disease Control Robert Redfield:”We’re seeing, sadly, far greater suicides now than we are deaths from Covid. We’re seeing far greater deaths from drug overdose, that are above excess, than we had as background, than we are seeing deaths from Covid.” Why no coverage?

This quote is out of context, thankfully. Excess deaths from #COVID19 since March: 150,000. That's more than triple the annual suicide rate in US.

140,000 + in 6 months doesn't satisfy you enough? I thought I knew evil, I thought I knew venom. This tweet is the tweet of a madman.

I just flew from Canada to Maui to get my niece on a plane to move back to her mom's in Calif. The place she worked closed in March, she lost her job, her 'work family,' almost all contact with others. She became depressed, then almost killed herself w/alcohol poisoning.

First, no coverage, because he never said it. Second, if the number of deaths from COVID isn’t enough to make people take preventive action, why the outrage when suicide deaths allegedly are just as high? Third, what narrative are you trying to imply with mentioning together?
