The recent tax cut was supposed to more than make up for lost revenue to the Federal government. It didn’t. If you cut capital gains the rich will largely just sit on that pile of cash or buy back stock. It only works if the savings are invested in companies and salaries increase

Newt, if inflation is such a burden, why not just get rid of the inflationary currency so that all can be protected from inflation's stealth tax? Why only protect one asset holder class?

Its a common sense move & if he eliminates carried interest write offs for hedge funds it would be a net neutral stimulus helping smaller investors!

Surely that’s a tactic that would not work again to the same extent ??
