Trump has his power and authority because he won a national election. How is it that Nancy Pelosi as this much authority to keep the government shut down? Her peers need to start putting pressure on her immediately.

Shutdown occurred before transfer of power in the House. They were elected too. Trump promised Mexico would pay for that wall? And if it were as simple as to provide funding for the wall...then Trump should not have rejected the full funding of that wall prior.
