And Trump did exactly what to promote that? These were all continuations of trends tha started unde Obama and you know it. The reason it’s happening now is because African Americans and Hispanics are always the last to benefit in a recovery.

The early Obama years were defined by the worst recession since the Great Depression. Since unemployment peaked in October 2009 it has been on a fairly stable downward trajectory. To say it’s a drastic change from Obama just isn’t true.

African American unemployment rate peaked in 2010 and has been on a steady downward trajectory since then. The economic recovery (for whatever reasons caused it) started before Trump took office and has continued since then,
