A shame, the subscription UI and preview UI was really useful as a step between the browser and the RSS reader. Also for previewing feeds that you don't intend to subscribe to.

Chrome is unusable. Firefox is all we are left with. Let's hope Firefox does not go down the path of pushing its opinions down its users' throats.

Assuming what they say was a matter of resources, i.e. that they cannot support the feature anymore and had to cut it, then I worry for 1) capacity and skillsets of Mozilla staff and 2) reduced community involvement.

Not only that, but the recent decisions - which are arguably taken by top level members - about the default settings for TRR (DNS over HTTPS) and using Cloudflare DNS is well intentioned but fraught with risk of misuse.

Yes, adding that to the list: 3) what's being prioritized, i.e. why not improve RSS such that it becomes an attractive feature of Firefox again?
