Robert E. Lee was a great general. Any military historian would agree. There were many great Wehrmacht generals too. Doesn’t mean we have to agree with what they did.

Maybe you should read his book. Might educate you on the matter at hand. A treasonous man may never be known as a “great general”, period.

Thank you for the recommendation. I’ll put it on my reading list. My point was purely about Lee as a military tactician.

Charlottesville... oh, where the right-wing political extremist drove his vehicle through a crowd of people, with the intent to kill, but we didn't call it terrorism. Apparently that term is only used if the attack happens in Europe... or the attacker is non-christian.

Agreed. He was indeed a terrorist. Just as much as the Orlando Pulse shooter.
