  3. Last week, I walked into our office and was surprised to see a mentee playing mobile games on his phone. Turns out he had an onsite that day with a mobile gaming company. On our advice, he was getting familiar with their product. Onsite went well! He finds out in a few days. 🤞

    1/ Something I hear from many of our mentors and mentees (and my experience mentoring supports this) is that a lot of the value that our mentors provide is emotional support.

    SM now has several mentors who are YC founders. One of them: 1. Joined a few months ago 2. Started working with 2 mentees 3. Became increasingly impressed by their learning speed 4. Realized that, if they were so good, why not hire them both himself? 5. Just did exactly that 🔥
